Kennedy's 4 Months Old!

This is such a fun stage! We're just enjoying every single day right now. Kennedy is getting more and more of a personality, and we are loving it! I absolutely love getting to know the little person she is turning into.

At 4 months, Kennedy:
  • Weighs 13 lb 9 oz, which is 50th percentile. She is 26" long (97th percentile) with a bean head (25th percentile)! Long and lean. And utterly perfect.
  • Wants to be "on-the-move" all the time. She wiggles and stands and kicks whenever she is sitting with someone, and always has to be looking out at everything going on in the room.
  • Sleeps 12 hours at night, but gets up 2-3 times to eat (Mama's getting tired!)
  • Takes 3 naps a day, usually. One in the morning, a long one in the afternoon, and a cat nap in the early evening.
  • Rolls over! She rolls from her back to her tummy all the time, and holds her head up high. She easily plays with her toys and reaches for them while on her tummy with her head at 90 degrees.
  • Babbles/talks to us on a regular basis, especially while on her changing table.
  • LOVES books. She reaches out and touches the pages and textures, and tries to grab the books to chew on them
  • Per the above, she loves chewing on everything. Her hands, toys, books, blankets. We are pretty sure teeth are on the way. (lots of drool too!)
  • Loves her muslin blankets from Grandma. We always have one at her side, and she cuddles with them when she is sleepy. They are her favorite!
  • Smiles a lot, especially at people she knows. She loves having conversations, both with words and with facial expressions.
  • Loves baths, and has gone swimming a couple times, but definitely likes the cold water less than the bath water.
  • Is extremely expressive. We are never left guessing what Kennedy is thinking/feeling. She makes her thoughts known and her voice heard!
  • Fits 3 month clothes and 3-6 month onesies perfectly
  • Is a complete delight to be around 99% of the day. She is truly the light of our lives and an amazing little girl!
